SEED 2025 Exam Pattern - The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) has come up with the exam pattern for SEED 2025 on the official website. It includes the structure of the SEED 2024 question paper, the kind of questions asked, the marking scheme, exam duration, and mode. Candidates will thus be able to align their preparation according to the requirements of the exam by consulting the pattern of the exam and optimize their chances of success. The SEED 2025 entrance exam was conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design on January 12, 2024. Candidates who qualify in the written exam next have to appear in a PRPI. To prepare the final merit list, the admission committee will consider the performance of the candidate in both 1) SEED and 2) PRPI rounds. The following are the exam patterns for each test component in detail.
SEED 2025 Exam Pattern: Entrance Test
The pattern of the exam is as follows for SEED 2025.
- The SEED 2025 will be a 60 minute exam comprising 60 questions.
- The questions could be MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension-based.
- The paper will have a mix of questions related to Visual Sensitivity & Judgement, Observational, Perceptual, & Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft & Culture, Design & Environment.

SEED 2025 Exam Pattern: Portfolio Review
If a candidate qualifies SEED 2025, he/she will be eligible to appear for SID's Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI). Admission will be shortlisted on the basis of specialization chosen only during online registration. Portfolio may include:
- Sketches, mixed-media illustrations, and digital work
- Collaging of images, 2D and 3D articles
- Photography
- 3D objects like sculptures, fabric products, gadgets, art-inspired products, etc.
Execute PRPI Task. This must be posted 3 days in advance from which the date for online PRPI will be selected to be conducted. Upload on the portal PRPI task a day before the implementation of PRPI.
SEED 2025 Exam Pattern: Personal Interaction
Candidates who get shortlisted based on their portfolios have to attend this round. In this round, the candidates are asked questions that are relevant to the programme they have opted for. The panel also asks them questions related to the portfolio they have submitted or uploaded for getting admission to Symbiosis Institute of Design.
SEED 2025 Final Selection
The final selection for SEED 2025 will be based on the aggregate performance of the candidate in the SEED exam, Portfolio Review, PRPI Task, and Personal Interaction. The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will also consider the details furnished in the application form and the specialization chosen by the candidate during registration. Each step is significant, and a candidate must perform well at all the levels to gain entry into the desired program.
