The full form of NEET MDS is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery. This entrance test is held for admission to all the postgraduate dental courses offered by dental institutions in India. The NBEMS will administer the NEET MDS 2025 exam, which stands for the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, on January 31, 2025. NBEMS declared the NEET MDS 2025 exam date on November 27, 2024, through a standard exam calendar. Other NEET MDS 2025 dates have not been announced yet.
NEET MDS 2025 exam will be held in an online computer-based mode (CBT) for a duration of three hours, between 9 AM and 12 PM. The NEET MDS exam syllabus will follow the BDS course, as suggested by the Dental Council of India (DCI). About 30,000 candidates are likely to appear for the exam in 2025.

NEET MDS 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The NEET MDS 2025 eligibility criteria will be released by the NBE along with the informationrmation bulletin. It is expected to be released in the fourth week of January 2025. The eligibility criteria for NEET MDS are given below based on the previous year.
- Candidates must obtain a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a DCI-recognised University/Institute.
- Applicants must be permanently or provisionally registered with the State Dental Council (SDC) or the Dental Council of India (DCI).
- Candidates must have completed at least 12 months of mandatory rotatory internship on or before the date mentioned by NBE.
- In the year 2024, the cutoff date for eligibility completion was originally March 31, 2024, but was later changed to June 30, 2024. The internship cutoff date for the academic year 2025 is also expected to be June 30, 2025.
NEET MDS 2025 Application Process
NBE will release the NEET MDS 2025 application form online on its official website. The registration, application process, and payment of the application fee for the examination, should be done in online mode. The steps to register and apply for the NEET MDS 2025 are listed below:
- Visit the official website of NBE - www.nbe.edu.in
- Click on the NEET-MDS link.
- Click on New Registration under the links section.
- Enter the candidate’s details, such as name, roll number,
- Click on the submit option.
- A new user ID and password will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address and mobile number.
- After completing registration, log in using the applicant login section.
- Next, enter the user ID and password.
- Click on the application form option.
- The candidate’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, and email address will be filled out on the application form.
- Enter the candidate’s personal, academic, internship and registration details.
- The desired NEET MDS test centre city needs to be entered next.
- Then, upload documents such as passport-size photographs, signature, and thumb impression or other category documents (if applicable)
- Pay the NEET MDS application fee via credit card/debit card/net banking.

NEET MDS 2025 Admit Card
NEET MDS 2025 admit card is expected to be released in the third week of January 2025, about a week before the exam date. Candidates must bring the NEET MDS hall ticket to the examination centre, but if they fail, the candidates won't be permitted to enter the exam hall. After the release of the NEET MDS admit card 2025, candidates must log in to the official website with their registration ID and download the PDF document. The NEET MDS admit card will consist of the following informationrmation:

NEET MDS 2025 Syllabus
The NEET MDS syllabus is similar to the BDS curriculum, which is set by DCI. The NEET MDS 2025 syllabus will include subjects from Anatomy, Surgery, Pathology, etc. The syllabus will consist of a total of 17 subjects.
NEET MDS 2025 Result
The NEET MDS 2025 result is expected to be released in the fourth week of February 2025, about a month after the exam is conducted. The NEET MDS result will be announced in online mode, wherein NBE will release the merit list and scorecard. While the merit list is available for all, the NEET MDS 2025 scorecard needs to be downloaded by candidates by logging in to the official exam website with their registration credentials. The NEET MDS 2025 result will contain informationrmation such as the candidates’ roll number, application number, scores obtained, percentile and All India Rank of the candidate.
NEET MDS 2025 Cutoff
The NEET MDS 2025 cutoff will be released along with the NEET MDS result. The cutoff refers to the minimum scores or percentile a candidate is required to qualify for the examination. The NEET MDS cutoff varies according to the candidate's category. The table given below contains the category-wise cutoff for NEET MDS, which was released by NBE last year.

NEET MDS 2025 Counselling
The MCC, or the Medical Counselling Committee, will conduct the NEET MDS 2025 counselling. The NEET MDS counselling process will start about a month after the results are declared. There will be around three to four rounds of counselling. For each round, the authority will release an individual seat matrix and will conduct the registration and choice-filling processes. MCC will allocate seats to candidates based on the candidates’ choices and scores.
