Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has officially released the AEEE 2025 syllabus. Candidates can download it from this page to guide their exam preparation. The syllabus details the topics from which questions will be asked in the AEEE CBT exam. As the questions are based on Class 11 and 12 concepts, candidates are encouraged to use the syllabus to focus on the key subjects of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English. Unit 1: Complex Numbers Complex numbers in the form a+iba + ib, Argand diagram, Modulus and argument, Cube roots of unity.
Unit 2: Linear Inequalities Solutions of linear inequalities and their representation.
Unit 3: Permutations and Combinations Counting principle, permutations and combinations, P(n,r)P(n, r), and C(n,r)C(n, r).
Unit 4: Binomial Theorem Binomial expansions for positive integral indices.
Unit 5: Sequences and Series Arithmetic, Geometric, Harmonic progressions, Arithmetico-Geometric Series, Exponential Series.
Unit 6: Matrices and Determinants Determinants, properties, matrices operations, solving simultaneous equations using determinants.
Unit 7: Quadratic Equations Roots and coefficients, nature of roots, and formation of quadratic equations.
Unit 8: Relations and Functions Types of relations, domain, codomain, range, and types of functions.
Unit 9: Trigonometry Trigonometric identities, inverse functions, properties of triangles, heights, and distances.
Unit 10: Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion Mean, Median, Mode, Standard deviation, variance, and mean deviation.
Unit 11: Probability Probability laws, addition and multiplication theorems, Bayes’ theorem, Binomial and Poisson distributions.
Unit 12: Differential Calculus Limits, continuity, differentiation, and applications of derivatives include maxima and minima.
Unit 13: Integral Calculus Integration techniques, definite integrals, and applications to areas under curves.
Unit 14: Differential Equations Solutions of differential equations and applications.
Unit 15: Two-Dimensional Geometry Cartesian coordinate system, distance formula, area of triangle, collinearity, and slope of lines.
Unit 16: Straight Line and Pair of Straight Lines Equation of lines, distance from point to line, and intersection of lines.
Unit 17: Circles and Family of Circles Equation of circle, tangents, and conditions for two intersecting circles.
Unit 18: Conic Sections Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola, tangent equations, and properties.
Unit 19: Vector Algebra Vectors, scalar products, vector products, triple products, and their geometric applications.
Unit 20: Three-Dimensional Geometry Distance, direction cosines, equations of lines and planes, angles, and shortest distance between lines.

Unit 1: Units and Dimensions Fundamental units, derived units, dimensions, and their applications.
Unit 2: Mechanics Motion, Newton's Laws, Work, Energy, Power, Friction, Circular motion, Rotational motion, Gravitation.
Unit 3: Solids and Fluids Properties of solids, Hooke's law, Young's modulus, Viscosity, Bernoulli’s theorem, Stoke’s law.
Unit 4: Oscillations and Waves Simple harmonic motion, Wave motion, Doppler effect, resonance, beats, standing waves.
Unit 5: Heat and Thermodynamics Thermal expansion, first and second laws of thermodynamics, heat transfer, Carnot cycle.
Unit 6: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Magnetostatics Coulomb’s law, electric field, capacitance, Ohm’s law, Magnetic field, Ampere’s law.
Unit 7: Electromagnetic Induction and Waves Faraday’s law, AC circuits, electromagnetic waves, and their properties.
Unit 8: Optics Reflection, refraction, lenses, optical instruments, interference, diffraction, and polarization.

Unit Syllabus
Unit 1: Basic Concepts Atomic and molecular masses, mole concept, chemical reactions, and stoichiometry.
Unit 2: Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding Bohr’s model, Quantum mechanics, VSEPR theory, Hybridization, Valence bond and molecular orbital theory.
Unit 3: Equilibrium and Thermodynamics Chemical equilibrium, Thermodynamics, Entropy, Enthalpy, Gibbs free energy.
Unit 4: Electrochemistry and Kinetics Electrochemical cells, Nernst equation, reaction rate, and catalysis.
Unit 5: Solid State and Solutions Types of solids, crystal lattices, packing efficiency, colligative properties.
Unit 6: Hydrogen Hydrides, water, hydrogen as a fuel.
Unit 7: S-Block Elements Group 1 and 2 elements, compounds of sodium, potassium, and calcium.
Unit 8: P-Block Elements Groups 13-17 elements, compounds of boron, nitrogen, sulfur, halogens.
Unit 9: Coordination Compounds Werner’s theory, isomerism in coordination compounds, metal carbonyls.
Unit 10: Organic Chemistry Tetravalence of carbon, IUPAC nomenclature, reactions of alkanes, alkenes, aromatic compounds.
