Eligibility Criteria for MSc and Diploma Courses at SGPGI
General Eligibility Criteria Nationality:Only Indian nationals (both males and females) are eligible to apply. However, seats have been reserved for some foreign nationals as per details appended below.
Age:
- For M.Sc. Courses: Candidates should not be below 17 years and not above 35 years on July 31, 2024.
- For Diploma Courses: Candidates must not be below 17 years and not above 30 years on July 31, 2024.
Age Relaxation: Relaxation of age for reserved category and sponsored candidates will be as per rules laid down by the U.P. State Government applicable only to candidates having domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess requisite qualification recognized by relevant bodies as on July 31, 2024. Degrees/qualifications from institutions under consideration for recognition will not be accepted.
Specific Course Requirements:
- M.Sc. Medical Biotechnology: B.Sc. Botany/ Zoology/Chemistry/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry.
- M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (Medical Virology): B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology or Microbiology with laboratory experience and 50% marks.
- M.Sc. in Genetic Counseling: Bachelor's in nursing, human genetics or others relevant fields with at least 50% marks.
- M.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine Technology: B.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine or B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks.
- B.Sc. Radiopharmacy and Molecular Imaging: B.Sc. Nuclear Medicine or allied fields with 50% marks.
- M.Sc. Molecular Medicine and Biotechnology: B.Sc. any life sciences with 50% marks as minimum qualification.
- Diploma in Telemedicine & Digital Health: B.Sc. in Science stream, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics with 50% marks

Reservations
- Applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC category shall be governed under guidelines by U.P. Govt. toward reservations for residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- Candidates belonging to the backward classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes with domicile outside Uttar Pradesh would be considered as candidates under the General Category.
- The certificate issued by the competent authority should be genuine in support of the candidate category.

Sponsored Candidates
- Sponsored candidates also have to appear at entrance examination for which a separate merit list will be prepared for them.
- Age relaxation may be admissible for sponsored candidates.
- The candidates should provide proof of their service with the sponsoring organization and that they are on leave for the period of such a course.

Application Procedure
- Application fee is Rs. 1000 for all categories payable through the online procedure. The application fee is non-refundable.
- Closing date for application: Application submission date will be notified. In the submitted application form, the candidates cannot make any changes to the online application form.

Selection Process
- Admissions shall be made through an entrance examination consisting of MCQ's of 100 marks and the test will be available for the required time duration of 180 minutes.
- The candidate shall be awarded 0.2 marks for correct answer and no negative marking done for the wrong answer.
- In case of the tie, candidates with older age shall rank higher.
SGPGI Nursing Officer Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Age of the candidates must lie within 18-40 years as on January 1, 2024.
- Age Relaxation
- SC/ST/OBC: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after service reduction)
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing from an authorized institute.
- Registered as a Midwife with the State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council and Nurse.
- In lieu of it, a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with two years of experience in a minimum 50-bed hospital.
Domicile Requirement
- Applicants should be domicile in Uttar Pradesh in order to acquire relaxation in age.
- Maximum Attempts
- Number of attempts is not limited as long as they fulfill the age criteria.
MHA Admission Eligibility at SGPGI
- Program Information
- Duration: 2 years
- Seats: 6 in an academic year
- Eligibility: MBBS/BDS from a recognized institute by NMC/DCI.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age criterion: up to 30 years as on 30 th June, 2024 shall be relaxed as per the U.P. Govt. rules
- Reservation: Age relaxation for UP domiciled candidates only
- Application Fee: Rs.1,000 (online).
- Selection Method: Entrance test (100 marks, 180 minutes, MCQs).
- Qualifying Marks: General/OBC/EWS - 50%, SC/ST - 45%.
- No stipend for MHA students.
