Kashmir University provides various scholarships under different categories to deserving candidates. The university offers three different scholarships mentioned below:

1. Merit Scholarship: Two merit holders in any course are eligible for 2 merit scholarships. It is granted based on merit in the Entrance Test. Students enrolled in the final year of M.A./M.Sc/M.Com can avail of scholarships based on merit scores.
2. Research Scholarship: Four scholarships in each department are awarded for carrying out research leading to the award of a Ph.D./ M.Phil degrees. In addition, they will also receive a grant for meeting miscellaneous expenses annually.
3. Student Aid: It is financial assistance offered to meritorious students who come from low-income groups. The university also assists students with a poor economic background with preference being given to students who are orphans.
