IIT Patna Courses and Fees 2025
IIT Patna offers a four-year undergraduate B.Tech course. The B.Tech program offers nine different specialities. IIT Patna offers two-year M.Tech and M.Sc postgraduate degrees. At the doctorate level, IIT Patna also offers Ph.D. degrees.

IIT Patna Admissions 2025
Admission to IIT Patna's more than 40 undergraduate and graduate programs is available through a variety of national-level examinations. For admission to IIT Patna's flagship B.Tech degree, students must first obtain a valid rank in JEE Advanced, followed by JoSAA counselling. Seats for the B.Tech course are allocated online through JoSAA counselling, taking into account the applicant's rank, category, seat availability, and other considerations.
IIT Patna also admits students to postgraduate courses such as M.Tech and M.Sc. To gain admission to these famous programs, students must first achieve valid scores in national-level entrance tests such as IIT JAM and GATE , followed by the PI round. Candidates who have qualified for the IIT Patna M.Tech course based on their GATE scores must engage in COAP counselling to determine their final seat allocation. In cooperation with the Bombay Stock Exchange, IIT Patna offers a year-long Post Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. The program runs every weekend for three hours per session.

IIT Patna Scholarships 2025
- IIT Patna provides Merit Cum Means Scholarships and other various Central Scheme Scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate students in order to assist them financially and meet their academic expenses. The list below lists a handful of the institute's scholarships.
- Merit Cum means scholarship. IIT Patna offers MCM scholarships to deserving and needy undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in two-year M.Sc. programs. A student must have a minimum SPI/CPI of 6.50 and a family income of no more than INR 4.5 lakhs per year to be eligible for the MCM Scholarship. Students who get the MCM Scholarship receive INR 1000 per month for two semesters, in addition to free tuition.
- Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students: The Scholarship was developed expressly to provide financial assistance to SC students while also promoting high quality education. IIT Patna provides a total of 12 scholarships to SC students with yearly family incomes of less than INR 6 lakh. Students who earn the SC Scholarship Scheme grant are exempt from paying the entire tuition. Here are some other advantages: 3000 INR per year for books and office supplies. In addition, INR 2200 per month is set aside for living expenses. contains a brand-new laptop or PC priced at INR 45,000.
- The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students is open to undergraduate students and is funded by the MHRD's Department of Higher Education. To be eligible for the Central Sector Scheme, students must have academic achievement in 10+2 that is above the 80th percentile and a family income of INR 8 lakh. To prolong their scholarship, a student must have received at least 50% on their most recent exam and have attended at least 75% of class. The undergraduate students receive INR 10,000, while the graduate students receive INR 20,000.
- The Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for the Railway Protection Force (RPF)/Railway Protection Special Force: The Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for RPF/RPSF is available to UG students at the institute through the Ministry of Railways. Only two wards per home are eligible for the scholarship, and children must have scored at least 60% in their 10+2 exams. The scholarship reward for male students is INR 2000 per month, while the scholarship award for female students is INR 2250 per month.
