Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test - exam_eligibility_criteria

The NVS exam is conducted for the admission of students to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Class VI and IX. It is held to assess the eligibility of students.

NVS 2025 eligibility remains the same as of the previous year. Candidates need to ensure that they meet specific eligibility criteria before proceeding with the registration process. The students must be a class 5 continuing student or passed in the 2024-25 academic year only. Any students who completed their 5th standard before the said period will be unable to fill out the application form and appear for the Selection Test. The test is limited to students residing in the district where Navodaya Vidyalaya is located. As per the age limit, candidates must be born before May 1, 2013 and after July 31, 2015.

NVS 2025 Examination Residential Criteria

As per the residential criteria, students appearing for NVS 2025 examination must live in the same district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located.

NVS 2025 Examination Age Limit

As per the age limit criteria, students must be born before May 1, 2013 and after July 31, 2015. All category candidates must submit a relevant birth certificate as proof.

NVS 2025 Examination Educational Qualifications

As per the educational qualifications, candidates will be required to pass 3rd, 4th, and 5th standards from a recognized school/ Government/ Government-aided institution. Students must have cleared their class 5 not before the 2024-25 academic year.
