IIT Delhi, the exam conducting authority of IIT JAM releases the IIT JAM 2025 Admit Card on the official website in online mode. Important Instructions on IIT JAM 2025 Admit Card
Candidates need to read the below-mentioned instructions present on their admit card for the IIT JAM exam very carefully.
- Aspirants need to take their JAM admit card to their designated test center with one photo ID. It is mandatory to carry the original copy of the photo ID card while going for the exam since a scanned copy of the photocopy is not accepted. The Photo ID cards with which aspirants can approach their IIT JAM exam centre are- College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID.
- The print of the IIT JAM admit card should be taken by using a colour laser printer (preferably) on an A4-size paper. Once the print out of the admit card has been taken, candidates should verify that their signature and photograph are clearly visible.
- The aspirants are advised to visit or locate their examination centre at least a day in advance of the examination.
- Candidates should make sure that their fingertips are not covered with any sort of coating (such as ink, mehndi, henna, or tattoo) as a biometric system of verification will be performed on the day of the exam.
- Applicants are required to reach their designated IIT JAM examination center at least 90 minutes before the exam starts for identity verification.
- After their credentials are verified by the JAM Officials, candidates will be permitted to sit for the IIT JAM exam.
- Before the IIT JAM 2025 begins, candidates will be allowed to sit at their assigned seat 40 minutes in advance of the scheduled time for the exam. In addition, 20 minutes prior to the exam, candidates will be permitted to log in and read the instructions of the exam.
- Candidates will not be able to log in 30 minutes after the exam has started.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave their exam hall before the exam ends.
- In the IIT JAM exam, 'a virtual scientific calculator' is to be provided to candidates on their computer screens. Candidates are communicated through a notice that they shall not be permitted to take into the examination hall their own calculators, mobile phones, watch/wrist-watches or any other electronic appliances. Moreover, IIT JAM exam authorities disown their responsibility for ensuring that personal belongings of candidates are kept safe.
- Candidates are advised not to carry any charts/ tables/ papers to the exam hall. For scribbling, candidates will be given scribble pads. The candidate is required to write their name & registration number on the scribble pad before they use it. When the exam ends, the scribble pad has to be returned to the invigilator.
