Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) is a private institute established in 2002. The institute is located in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology offers B.Tech courses in several specialisations. The institute also offers M.Tech, MBA and MCA programs. The annual intake for UG courses is 1140, and for M.Tech, the intake is 126 students. The annual intake for MBA and MCA courses is 120 and 60, respectively.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology B.Tech Admission

VIIT offers 4-year B.Tech degree courses in 7 specialisations. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. The selection is based on the candidates’ rank in APEAMCET. The Convener, EAMCET, makes the seat allotment as per the stipulated rules of the A.P State Government. Candidates will be called for counselling APEAMCET based on the ranks secured by the candidates in the rank list.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology M.Tech. Admission 2025

The institute offers M.Tech courses in 5 disciplines for which the annual intake by the institute is 126. Candidates should have obtained a B.Tech degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) from an AICTE/UGC-approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The selection is based on the candidates’ rank in PGECET. Selections are also made through a valid rank in GATE. Seat allotment is made by Convener, PGECET, as per the stipulated rules of A.P State Government.

Important points:

• The qualifying percentage mark for obtaining a rank in APPGECET is 25% i.e., 30 marks out of 120. In the case of SC/ ST candidates, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for the candidates' ranking.
• Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for local candidates, and the remaining 15% shall be for candidates from other states.
• While filling the seats in the college, first preference will be given to the candidates qualified in GATE, and the remaining seats will be given to candidates qualified in APPGECET as per their ranks in the merit list.

Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology MBA and MCA Admission 2025

Vignan’s Institute also offers MBA and MCA courses. Candidates seeking admissions should have a graduate degree with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). For MBA admissions, they must have studied Mathematics at the 10th level. In the case of the MCA program, they must have studied Mathematics at the 12th or degree level. The admissions are based on the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) conducted by the State Government.

Important points:

• ICET will consist of three sections: Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability.
• Candidates who have secured 25% qualifying marks in APICET (50 out of 200) and candidates belonging to SC/ST to whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed shall be assigned the rank in the order of merit based on marks obtained in ICET.
• In case the qualifying degree is obtained through distance mode, it should be recognition by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/ DEB.
• Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for APICET.

Candidates must apply through the official websites of the respective conducting bodies of EAMCET, PGECET and ICET. Candidates can apply for admission to management quota seats through the forms available on the institute's official website. Here are the steps to apply:

• Click on the “Admissions” tab
• Click on the Management Quota Application forms link
• Take the printout of the application form and fill in the mandatory details
• The duly filled in form has to be sent to the college with the Demand Draft through post or can be submitted personally.
• The application fee is INR 1500.
• Demand Draft has to be drawn in favour of “The Principal, Vignan Institute of Information Technology,” payable at Vishakhapatnam.
