The Apollo University: Important Information & Updates

Apollo University has been initiated in the year 2016 by Apollo Hospitals Group. The university imparts an undergraduate and postgraduate degree of Medical Science for candidates along with specializations in particular fields. Last qualifying test scores are given preferences during admissions to the Apollo University by the candidate.

Undergraduate programs

B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology):

  • Eligibility: A candidate with aggregate percentage of at least 50 percent in any 10+2 scheme with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as principal subjects of the qualifying examination.
  • Entrance Exam Requirement: Admission will be on the basis of valid scores obtained by candidates from a national-level entrance exam, such as JEE Main or AP EAMCET.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science):

  • Eligibility: The students must have successfully passed their 10+2 with the required percentage in the relevant subject fields with not less than 45%.

B.Optom (Bachelor of Optometry):

  • Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry as his subjects of study. The students pursuing vocational courses have to finish the bridge course of Biological as well as Physical Science.
  • Minimum Marks Requirement: In general, candidates must obtain 45%. The minimum marks requirement for reserved category students is 40%.

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy):

  • Eligibility criteria: Applicant must have clear 10+2 exams with his/her compulsory subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and English. Either Mathematics or Biology is to be taken along with the above-mentioned subjects.

B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy):

  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates with 10+2 examinations passed in physics, chemistry & english as a mandatory subjects & can opt for any one of the subjects, either Mathematics or Biology, are eligible to apply.

Postgraduate Courses

M.Tech (Master of Technology):

  • Eligibility Criteria: The applicant must have clear graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in any relevant discipline.

M.Sc (Master of Science):

  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have cleara bachelor degree in the social sciences, clinical sciences, or life sciences from an accredited university with at least 50 Percent.

MSW (Master of Social Work):

  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university, securing at least 50% marks.

MPH (Master of Public Health):

  • Eligibility Criteria: The student should have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.

MBA (Master of Business Administration):

  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university with at least 50% marks.

Specialised Courses

B.Sc. Programmes in Medical Laboratory Technology, Physician Assistant, Renal Dialysis Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology, Imaging Technology, and Emergency Medical Technology:

  • Eligibility: The candidate must have clear 10+2 or equivalent examination with science subjects from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks Requirement: The candidate must have passed with at least 45% aggregate marks.
