In order to be considered for admission to the B.Tech program at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), a candidate must have earned at least a 50% grade in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology during their 10+2/HSC coursework.

The candidate must have received a valid score in either the CBSE-conducted JEE Main or the DTE-conducted MHT-CET. These applicants will be given seats under DTE Maharashtra's Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

SPIT provides postgraduate MCA degree courses in addition to M.Tech courses in two fields. Applicants must have at least a 50% grade in a relevant BE or B.Tech degree in order to be considered for admission to the M.Tech program. Candidates must have a positive GATE score in order to be selected for the M.Tech programs. Candidates are chosen based on their GATE score.

Applicants for the MCA program must have completed a minimum of three years of college with a minimum of 50% of the required coursework. Additionally, the candidate must have taken mathematics as one of their topics for the graduate-level exam or at the 10+2 level. The candidate must have current MAH-MCA-CET results.

Apart from Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, SPIT also provides Ph.D. programs in four different fields. To be eligible, a candidate must have completed at least 55% of the Master's degree requirements. Applicants who earned at least a 55% grade in their M.Phil. programs are also qualified.

  • To be considered for selection, candidates must show up for the University of Mumbai's PET (Ph.D. entrance exam).
  • A candidate is excused from taking the test if they pass the GATE examination.
  • Only those who successfully complete a panel-led centralized interview at the College/Institute/University/Department will be granted temporary admission.

For MHT CET registration

Candidates must use the DTE Maharashtra website to complete the online application. Only online payment options, such as Internet Payment, Credit/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile, are accepted for application costs.

The application cost for general applicants from Maharashtra and other states is INR 800. The application fee for students in other categories is INR 600. The candidate will need to print the MHT-CET Registration Confirmation after successfully completing payment.

For BE, ME and MCA program

Applications for admission to BE and ME course seats at the institute level (20% of total seats) must be submitted with a 1500 INR processing fee. Applicants for admission to the BE programme must register for the counseling procedure via the DTE Maharashtra website and pay an application fee of INR 600 for SC/ST/OBC students and INR 800 for general applicants from Maharashtra and other states.

Candidates can register on the DTE website in order to be considered for entrance exams for admission to ME and MCA. There are no fees for candidates who have previously registered for the MAH-MCA-CET.

At the closest facilitation center, candidates can complete out the online application form, scan, and upload the necessary papers for free.
