Established in 2017, Sanjay Ghodawat University is a State Private University. Before, Sanjay Ghodawat, the Chairman of the SG Group, founded Sanjay Ghodawat Institutes in 2009. SGU Kolhapur offers a wide range of UG, PG and Ph.D programmes in numerous subjects. Thousands of students mostly enroll in the two popular courses, B.Tech and BDS, each year. Eligibility Criteria:

Tech:

• Candidate should be a citizen of India.
• 10+2 pass in science stream with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% for reserved categories.
• Selection process is accompanied by MHT-CET/JEE Main scores followed by counselling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.
• For lateral entry, diploma in engineering or B. Sc degree with mathematics in class 10th with minimum 45% marks (for reserved category minimum 40% is required). It is merit based and counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra is necessary.

Tech:

• Candidate should be a citizen of India.
• B. Tech in the relevant branch from a recognized institution with minimum 50% marks and for reserved categories minimum 45% is required.
• A valid GATE score followed by counselling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

Hostel Facility:

SGU provides spacious, well-equipped dorm rooms with separate bathrooms for boys and girls that can accommodate up to three students each. On campus, hostels can be found seven blocks apart. Every room has a bed, a bookcase, cabinets, and a desk for studying. The hostels feature self-laundry facilities, mini-super markets, stationary stores, and copier facilities in addition to free Wi-Fi. There is a large dining area in the centre of the Food Court. The food is clean and tasty. On request, Jain cuisine is served. Vegetarian food is available at reasonable prices from a variety of stalls in a food court. Apart from the cafeteria, the hostel has fast food restaurants connected. There is primary care available at SGU Health Care Centre. On all university working days, it offers OPD services from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. There are roughly 5,000 inpiduals who count as dependents in total. The latter category includes students, employees and their authorized dependents, retired employees and their dependents, and various non-entitled inpiduals such as former students, residents of servant quarters, sanitary staff, security staff, housekeeping staff, and various project staff who work at the university.
