PES The Modern College of Engineering (PESMCOE) in Pune was established in 1999. Modern College of Engineering is an establishment of higher education that provides quality programs that integrate professional skills and career-focused education, helping students to grow and realise their personal and career potential.

In 2024, the IIRF ranked MCOE B.Tech at 78 out of 173 colleges in India, up from 79 out of 166 in 2023.

The Times of India ranks MCOE B.Tech colleges 78 out of 200 in 2022 and 126 out of 196 in 2021.

In 2020, the MCOE Overall Ranking by National Institutional Ranking Framework Innovation is 26-50 among 50 colleges in India.

The institute has four recognised research centres associated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, namely Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunication Engineering and Management, which offer Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs.

• Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology Engineering are all available as undergraduate studies.
• Postgraduate programs are available in Mechanical Engineering (Heat Power), Electrical Engineering (Control System), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (Signal Processing), and Computer Engineering.
• The institute offers a master's degree in computer application (under the engineering faculty).

PESMCOE Admission Process 2025

• Register for the exam via the online application form.
• Enter the login information to generate a unique ID and password.
• Log in with your unique ID and password and enter your personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' name, parents' mobile number, etc.).
• Upload your photos, signature, and any other relevant documents, such as an eligibility certificate, a category certificate (SC / ST / PwD), and/or a Dyslexic certificate.
• Enter the GATE paper (topic) and the exam cities.
• Pay the application cost and then submit it.
• After submitting the application form, check the status and keep a paper copy.

Documents necessary:

• Scanned copy of the eligibility certificate in pdf format.
• Degree certificates, provisional certificates, and certificates from department/institute heads are all available on the GOAPS website.
• Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable) in pdf format.
• Scanned copy of Dyslexic Certificate (if applicable) in PDF format.
• Scan a passport-sized photograph of the candidate in JPEG format (480×640 to 240×320 pixels).
• Scanned signature images in JPEG format range from 160×560 to 80×280 pixels.
