NIT offers various undergraduate courses including computer science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and electrical engineering. The minimum requirements for admission in B.Tech courses are 10+2 with physics, mathematics, and any chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology with a minimum of 50% marks.
Admission to UG programs is taken based on marks obtained by the candidates in MHT-CET conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. JEE-passed students are also eligible for admission and all candidates will have to participate in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Other candidates including J & K candidates, will be allotted seats on the basis of JEE Main scorecard only. Out of the total seats, 20% seats are filled through institutes/ management quota and 65% seats are filled through CAP.

How to apply
Application for admission to Nagpur Institute of Technology can be submitted online. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech course must apply for MHT-CET through the official website.
For applying the application form, MHT-CET candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Candidates should have to visit the official website of the Institute.
Step 2: Go through the “Application form”.
Step 3: Fill out all the required credentials.
Step 4: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents.
Step 5: For the application fee, candidates should make a payment of INR 800 (INR 600 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through the online system only.

Eligibility
- The candidates should be an Indian National
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry or biotechnology, biology, technical vocational subject, computer science, information technology, or informatics practices, agriculture, engineering graphics, business studies, electronics or entrepreneurship and obtain at least 45% marks in the above subject.
- Passed a minimum 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks ( at least 40% marks, in case of backward class categories, economically weaker sections, and persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only)
- The candidates should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET/ JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech ) and should obtain non-zero scores in MHT-CET/ JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech)
