JBIMS Mumbai: Admissions 2025 – Fees, Eligibility, Last Date & Process

Only the master’s program in various specializations of business management is offered at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS). Students are admitted through DTE CAP. JBMIS accepts MAH MBA CET, MH-CET, CAT, JRF, and NET scores for admissions to various programs. The selection procedure at JBIMS includes an in-person assessment. The merit is generated based on the student's previous academic performance, scores in the entrance exams, and scores in personal assessment. One has to be eligible by meeting the eligibility requirements that JBIMS has set to get admission into various programs. It conducts an entrance test for students enrolled in the PhD program.

JBIMS Masters Admissions

JBIMS has set certain eligibility requirements for its master’s in management programs. Candidates who have completed their graduations are eligible only to apply for admissions at JBIMS. For the Master of Management Studies and MHRD courses, JBIMS accepts MAH MBA CET scores. The Technical Education Directorate of Maharashtra conducts the MAH MBA CET. The government of Maharashtra also conducts the MH-CET. JBIMS releases its cut-off for offered specializations during the admissions. For the MMS program, JBIMS also conducts an entrance test for the students through MAH MBA CET scores. MHRD admissions consists of two stages. In stage I, the screening of students is done based on their scores in MAH CET or CAT, and in stage II, an In-Person Assessment (IPA) is done which includes Group Activity, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test. For part-time MMS courses, JBIMS conducts an entrance test followed by a Group Discussion. A minimum of two years of experience is a must for MMS part-time candidates. JBIMS PhD Admissions

JBIMS considers the State Eligibility Test, Junior Research Fellowship, National Eligibility Test, etc scores for the selection of students for PhD programs. After the screening test, students are called for the personal interview round. To be eligible to get admission to the PhD program at JBIMS, post-graduation is required in Business Management or related fields. JBIMS Admissions Application Process

The admissions JBIMS includes the following process as mentioned below:

  1. Registrations and Application: If you find yourself eligible for the offered courses at JBIMS, register yourself by visiting the JBIMS website. After registration, apply for the course for which you wish to apply for. Complete the application, upload the required files, and pay the application fees.
  2. DTE CAP Counselings: Register by visiting the DTE, Maharashtra website and appear in the counseling process to get the full-time courses at JBIMS.
  3. Selection Process: The selection process at JBIMS includes an In-Person Assessment, in which students are shortlisted based on their marks in the national or state-level entrance exams, and then they are called for the Group Activity (GA), PI, and Written Ability Test (WAT).
  4. Merit List: JBIMS will release its merit list for the offered programs separately.
  5. Offer of Admission: Students whose names are present in the merit list have to report to JBIMS for the verification process and to pay the admission fees to confirm their admission.
  6. Important Documents

    For the MSc in Finance program at JBIMS, students who have appeared in the Civil Services interviews are also eligible. Their performance in the Prelims and Mains stage of the Civil Services Exam is judged for the admissions.     PhD Pre-Entrance Test (PET) Details

    JBIMS conducts an entrance test for PhD enrolled students. The test's specifics are listed below:

    1. The entrance test will consist of multiple choice questions of a total of 100 marks.
    2. In the test, one mark is awarded to each question.
    3. There will be two sections (A and B) on the test paper. Section A will consist of questions from the research methodology and general awareness. Subject-specific questions will be asked in Section B.
    4. 50% is the passing mark in the test for general category students and 45% for reserved category students.
