When was ICAR established?
A registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, it was founded on July 16, 1929, as a result of the Royal Commission on Agriculture's report. It was formerly known as the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research. The headquarters of the ICAR are located in New Delhi.
Who is eligible for ICAR?
Candidates must have graduated from any affiliated or accredited institution with a 10+2 degree or its equivalent. OBC and general candidates must receive a minimum of 50% overall.
Is ICAR government or private?

Does a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture need ICAR?
Some universities admit students directly to BSc agriculture programs without considering their scores on the ICAR AIEEA entrance exam. Students are admitted to these colleges based on their 12th grade grades.
