Guru Nanak Dev University Popularly Known as GNDU based in Amritsar, Punjab, established in the year of 1969 as a premier university under the vision of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the esteemed founder of Sikhism and by the state legislature Act. It is also recognised by the UGC. It is also certified with -˜A++' grade by NAAC. The University offers programs like UG,PG, Diploma and PhD programs. For these programs it offers different courses which include BTech, BA, BSc, BLIb.Sc, MLib.Sc, MTech, MA, MCom, MSc, MCA, MEd, LLB, BA LLB, LLM  level etc in various levels and in various departments. Every year, it offers around 1300+ seats for eligible students. Application process

Follow the step-by-step admission procedure: 

•  Visit the Official website at https://online.gndu.ac.in/   , go to the admission tab and click the register button.
• Enter the personal details like name, address and marks obtained etc followed by selection of course/program.
• After Filling the application form, submit the required documents like Scanned Passphoto, Signature, marksheets etc.
• Applications can be filled in online mode and offline mode.
• Application fee for general category is around 500/- INR, 250/- INR for reservation category.
• Print the application and keep it for future use.
• Candidates who are seeking admission using their entrance test score can download their call letters using the official website of the university.
• Candidates who cleared the entrance test can counseling conducted by the university
• After all the counseling rounds, the university will release the selected list of candidates in the official portal of the university.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility Criteria will differ for various programs. Under the UG  program, for courses like BTech, BA, BSc, BHMCT, BTTM, B.P.Ed, LLB, BA LLB, B.Lib.Sc, BArch, BPT, BPharm, it requires candidates with a minimum of 45%-40% aggregate in a 10+2 equivalent higher qualifying exam recognised by related boards with relevant subjects and a valid JEE Main/NATA/GNDU Entrance Test score.Also, for PG program, it requires candidates with a minimum of 50% aggregate for general (45% for reservation candidates) in graduation with relevant discipline and a valid GATE Score.For Phd program, it requires candidates with good merit in master degree and a valid UGC NET/UGC-CSIR (JRF)/SLET/GATE/GPAT/ ICAR/INSPIRE score.

Scholarship details: 

The University also offers various scholarships to help the students overcome their financial problems. Its offering of scholarship includes: Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST, merit-cum-means scholarship, Financial Assistance Scheme and many others.

Hostel 

The University provides hostels for boys and girls separately  with various facilities. Its facilities in hostels include well maintained  rooms and bathrooms,24/7 WIFI, chairs, tables , TV  and others etc. Its cost is around 23,350 Indian rupees per annum.
