The Act of the Legislature of the state of Punjab established Guru Kashi University (GKU). Guru Kashi University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It has approvals and recognitions from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Indian Council of Agricultural Research(ICAR), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), etc.
Guru Kashi University has 12 colleges under it and provides education at all levels in disciplines like Engineering, Management, Humanities, Pharmacy, Arts, and many more. For B.Tech, the candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. The university also accepts LEET admissions to B.Tech. Programmes. Admission to other UG and PG courses is based on the candidate's merit.
For M.Tech, the candidate should have a 50% mark in bachelor's in the same discipline For an MBA, the candidate must have completed his graduation or equivalent.
