Course Eligibility Criteria Selection Process
LL.M in Maritime Law Hold an LLB/Equivalent Degree with at least 50% marks (General) or 45% marks (SC/ST) from a recognized university. Based on National Level Online Remotely Proctored entrance test followed by a Personal Interview.
LL.M in International Trade Law Hold an LLB/Equivalent Degree with at least 50% marks (General) or 45% marks (SC/ST) from a recognized university. Based on National Level Online Remotely Proctored entrance test followed by a Personal Interview.
EDP: Maritime Law Graduation from a recognized university. Application form scanning and a Motivation Letter explaining the relevance of the course to career advancement.
EDP: International Trade Law Graduation from a recognized university. Application form scanning and a Motivation Letter explaining the relevance of the course to career advancement.
Ph.D. Programme in Law Master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (or 50% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled candidates).

Candidates should have an excellent academic/professional track record in the relevant discipline.

Candidates must clear an entrance test with 50% score and present a preliminary research proposal.

Part-time applicants must prove that official duties allow sufficient time for research and facilities are available.

 

School of Maritime Management & Maritime Training Course

Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) has introduced various higher level academic programs to prepare students for the maritime and logistics industries. They have the MBA programs which includes Shipping and Logistics Management centered towards practical skills and knowledge necessary to survive in the maritime industry. Any of the candidate is supposed to have obtained any Bachelors Degree from any approved university with not less than fifty percent 50% marks or forty five percent 45% in case of SC/ST/SEBC/EWS category. Place of National Level Online Remotely Proctored Entrance Test plus Personal Interview and Final Year Students allowed on Provisional Basis at the stage of application is the selection process. In addition, GMU has developed a Ph.D. Programme in Management for those who would like to carry out in-depth research in line of management and other maritime issues. For applicants Master's degree with minimum of fifty-five percent 55% marks (or fifty percent for selected categories) is a basic requirement, and an entrance test has to be taken. After providing an online presentation of the selected research topic to the Departmental Research Committee, the applicant will proceed with the selection process. This sequence of actions leading to admissions to programmes means that GMU is able to attract high caliber individuals willing to help in the development and creativity in the maritime industry. MBA in Shipping Logistics Management Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (General) or 45% marks (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS). National Level Online Remotely Proctored Entrance Test and Personal Interview conducted by the University.
Candidates appearing for the final year can apply provisionally. For State Quota Seats, apply through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) website, marking GMU as first preference.
Ph.D. Programme in Management -Master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled candidates).

Candidates with an equivalent M.Phil. degree are also eligible.

A relaxation of 5% marks may be allowed for certain categories.

Part-time applicants must demonstrate that they can devote sufficient time to research and have necessary facilities available.

Admission Test (UGC NET/JRF/SLET/MPHIL qualified candidates will be exempted).
