Ewing Christian College, Allahabad, is a prestigious Autonomous minority institution, a reputed centre of learning and a constituent college of the University of Allahabad. Ewing Christian College is one of the best undergraduate colleges in this part of the country.

It has earned a great reputation in all spheres of academics. Ewing Christian College was also among the first colleges in the country to be selected for the college science improvement Program (COSIP) started by UGC in the 1970s.

Ewing Christian College was granted autonomy in 1994 and was again amongst the first batch of 35 colleges in the country under its scheme for vocationalisation of degree courses.

The college further consolidated its position as an institution imparting quality education and was granted B++ by NAAC in 2004 and was awarded college with potential for excellence (CPE) status by the UGC in 2005.

Ewing Christian College, Allahabad established in 1902 as a PG college.
Established Ewing Christian University College in 1923 in the vicinity of the University, to retain higher education classes, which is now William Holland University College.
It is the first college imparting University education in Affiliating.
It has been reduced to intermediate standard due to Allahabad University recognizatio Act, 1921.
It is amongst the first 30-35 colleges of the country, where UGC Schemes are inaugurated e.g. COSSIP in 1971, COHSSIP in 1975.
It is Autonomous since 1994 (now 22 years), one of the 5-6 colleges in UP today.

The candidates have to fill the application form completely and correctly, ensuring that no mandatory field has been left unfilled.
Application form will be considered completely filled and submitted only after successful submission of entrance test fee.
Following a successful payment, the candidate must download and print a copy of application form and fee receipt of entrance test for record.

Online Admission Counselling

Online admission process for students seeking admission through CUET- score in BA, BSc, BCom, or BCA.

Admission will be done on the basis of CUET- 2024 score merit only.
Visit college admission portal available on college official website www.ecc.ac.in and click on”Admission”. Candidates will be redirected to the admission page.
Click on”UG Admission” and select BA or BSc, BCom or BCA as per their choice of course.
Fill up the complete admission form and upload self-attested copies of category documents failing which category weightage will not be granted and candidates will be considered for admission as general candidates.
After submission of admission from and relevant admission fee if any, candidates name will become of the merit list prepared on the basis of CUET-2024 score.

Required documents for admission

Original and a set of self-attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates of educational qualifications ( high school, intermediate, graduation, post-graduation).
photocopies of claiming privilege marks.
Medical certificate from Allahabad CMO/CMS
Original migration certificate/ transfer certificate/ character certificate.
In case of Christian candidates original Baptism Certificate and Church Scholarship certificate issues by the presbyter in-charge/ parish/ bishop.

Eligibility

Program eligibility. B.A. and B.Com. are open to most 10+2 graduates. Science or maths backgrounds are preferred for B.Sc., BCA, and diploma programs. B.Ed. accepts any bachelor's degree, but science-related fields are preferred. A bachelor's degree is required for postgraduate studies. Christian students applying for reserved seats have additional requirements.

B.Com	10+2 Preferably with a background in commerce, although students from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

B.Ed	Candidates with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor’s degree/ or in Master Degree in Science/ Social Science/ Humanities, Commerce, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in science and mathematics with 55% marks. For Christian Candidates Christian candidates are also required to fulfil the eligibility criteria and go through the entrance test to get admission against reserved seats. They will also be required to go through a special test on Biblical Knowledge.
Post Graduation Course	Candidates must have passed the BA/B.Sc.

Placement

The placement and training cell of Ewing Christian College was constituted under the leadership of their former principal Dr. M.Massey, as a “Career Information, training and placement centre”. The training and placement cell has been revamped and reconstituted recently keeping in mind the ever-changing economic scenario and the trends of employment in the job market. It is Ewing Christian College’s endeavour to offer best possible avenues to their students with enriching and fulfilling life.

The cell strives to provide the students with the adequate training and resources that is required to empower the students to find lucrative employment opportunities through internship in academia & industries and campus placement drives.

Counselling cell

The Counseling cell was established in 2003 to help the college students. Students come to the college from different backgrounds and are exposed to a new environment. They belong to a very sensitive age group of 17-22, who are on the threshold of maturity .

So many times they find it difficult to adjust in new environments or may face serious mental problems. For such students, counselling services are available in the campus by the trained and experienced counsellor, Dr. Alpana Paul, faculty member, department of Psychology.

Students can register themselves for counselling and fix their time according to their convenience. In crises situations the students may contact the counsellor anytime as per her availability.

Scholarship

Every year the Ewing Christian College awards a scholarship to its students who are meritorious but belong to the financially weaker section of the society. It is noteworthy that many students are also given financial support by the principal directly from the principal's discretionary fund of Ewing Christian College society. The management of the College ensures that scholarship is distributed to the recipients on time.
