Patliputra University's flagship constituent college is the College of Commerce, Arts, and Science which was established in 1949 and is recognized under Sections 2 (f) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act 1956. On the guidance of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the great visionary Late Pt. Indu Shekhar Jha founded the college with the pious goal of making quality education available to striving youths without regard for socio-cultural or economic status. It is one among Bihar's oldest academic institutions and is located in the heart of the state capital, Patna. The College is located in the prestigious Rajendra Nagar Railway Terminal close by and is spread across a 5.89-acre site.
This college boasts great infrastructure, including an automated central library linked to global open information flows and databases, well-equipped laboratories, and a welcoming and natural campus atmosphere and classrooms.
