College of Art is an institution of advanced training in visual art ( Creative and Applied ) leading to the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree of the University of Delhi, providing advanced training in Master in Fine Arts course (except art history), established in 1942.
The College is under the Faculty of Music & Fine Art, University of Delhi, for all academic matters and wholly administered by the Govt. of NCT Delhi.
They provide advanced courses including Applied Art, Art history, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and visual communication with an emphasis on studio practicals, prescribed theory subjects, and research in selected fields.
It aims to prepare the students for creative and applied responsibilities in the world of art and design. In its of existence of nearly 67 years, the College has gradually grown to ensure an exalted position in the teaching of fine art in the country and comparable to any other art institution in the world.

The college of Art makes it its endeavour in its academic programs to take account of what has happened in the past, to be alive to the present and plan for the future.the foundation courses is an intensive one year study at the first year level which is common to the specialisations of painting, sculpture applied art, printmaking and visual communication providing basic training in art and design.
It is introduced as an inter-related, quality important subjects which include Drawing, colour, clay modelling, printing, geometry & perspective, material and tools and exercise in form, aesthetics and concepts, all of which are designed to promote visual and textual sensitivity, formal perception and manual neat handedness. Admission Admission for BFA Admission to undergraduate BFA will be based on the merit score that will be based on the -˜CUET score (50% weightage) and Practical-based test score (50% weightage)' Candidates must appear in both CUET and the Practical-based test. Admission procedure
85% of the sanctioned intake shall be allocated to the NCT of Delhi. 15% of the sanctioned intake shall be allocated for Outside NCT of Delhi.

Admission for MFA The admission to post graduate (MFA) courses are merit-based, that is, based on marks scored in Bachelor of fine arts degree (BFA-Regular Mode) final year relevant specialisation. Eligibility for all specialisations is 50% or more marks in the aggregate.

Scholarship:
The college awards merit and merit-cum means scholarship of Rs.75/- per and 10% respectively of the total number of candidates as per rules; this is, however, subject to a month up to 5% the sanction of the Government of NCTD.
