The Central University of Jharkhand was opened in 2009 under the Central Universities Act. The first vice-chancellor Dr. Darlando T. Khathing of the Central University of Jharkhand is a famous international scientist. The university has engineering, science, commerce, arts, and life science departments. 3. Sports to be played on the ground such as cricket, football, volleyball, and kabaddi are available. Inside the campus of the university, indoor activities facility is also there such as a gym, yoga, Carrom, Chess, etc.
