The Biju Patnaik University of Technology, or BPUT, is a public state university located in Rourkela, in Odissia. The BPUT was established in the year 2003, when the founding stone for this university was laid down by the late Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam. The main aim is to provide quality technical education for its students, which is the university's primary goal, which it achieves through well-qualified teaching personnel, trained employees, and perfect facilities. NIRF ranked BPUT at the 190th position in 2021. BPUT offers various UG and PG courses to the students in the fields of architecture, engineering, computer science, management, and pharmacy, such as BTech, MBA, MCA, and PhD, etc.

There are many facilities that one can access in BPUT. For example, there are libraries, laboratories, hostels, as well as campuses.

The campus boasts high-speed Wi-Fi almost everywhere.

BPUT Scholarships

BPUT offers several scholarships and financial support to its meritorious students. Some of the BPUT scholarships are listed below:

Central Government Scholarships: The Odisha Govt. initiated 20+ scholarship plans that serve to fund quality education for its pupils. It is an apex scheme for Odisha State. Since BPUT is a state university, these scholarships can be acquired easily by students.
On the other hand, the Skill Development and Technical Education department offers merit-cum-poverty scholarships, which is one way to promote the education of girls, among other things, like the Sudaksha Scholarship targeting at girls alone that could also be got from BPUT.
e-Medhabruti Scholarship: This goes to people whose family annual income is less than 6 LPA and therefore are funded under this plan.
