SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination - exam_eligibility_criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for SRMJEEE 2025 must check the eligibility criteria laid down by the authorities. SRMJEEE 2025 eligibility criteria includes age, qualifying examination and nationality etc.

Nationality

Candidates must be resident of India or non-resident Indians (NRIs) and PIO or OCI card holders as issued by the GOI to be eligible for the SRM engineering exam 2025. NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who have not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under the International Student category only.

Age

Candidates should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31 July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board Examination is to be held.

Qualifying examination

1. Applicant should have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) on appearing in Higher Secondary Examination in the current academic year with minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics (Mandatory), Mathematics (Mandatory) and at least one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics/ Botany and Zoology as major subjects in regular subjects in regular stream from any board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, IB or NIOS.
2. GCE A-Level- Minimum C grade in Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics. Physics and Mathematics should be compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry / Computer science/ information technology/ Informatics practices/ Engineering graphics as major subjects.
3. Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa.
4. Students who have not studied Chemistry should undergo a bridge course in Chemistry in the first year.
