The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory computer-based test for admission to the five-year integrated MSc program in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai, Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Science, Mumbai.

How to apply

Step 1: Go through the official website - In the first step, candidates have to register online on the official website www.nestexam.in.

Step 2: Fill the NEST application form - To fill the application form candidates have to provide their personal, educational, income and reservation details in the application.

Step 3: Upload the document - In the next step candidates should have to upload scanned images of photographs, signature and required documents.

Step 4: Pay the application fee - The application fee for the Male candidates of the General and OBC categories is 1,400/-. The application fee for candidates in the SC/ST/Divyangjan Categories and for all female candidates is 700/- .

1. Payment can be made 9using credit card/ debit card/ net banking through an online payment gateway.
2. Candidates can use Mastercard/ Visa/ RuPay cards cards or UPI as payment options.

Important things to remember for online application

1. Correct email address should be provided. The NEST office communicates with candidates through this email ID only.
2. The phone number that is provided during the application should be accessible by the candidates. The NEST office uses this phone number to reach a candidate or to send SMS messages whenever necessary.
3. A properly scanned and cropped recent passport-sized photograph should be uploaded. A properly scanned and cropped signature should be uploaded.
4. The photograph and signature files must be not more than 80kb each and must be in JPG or JPEG format only.
5. Applications incomplete in any respect will not be accepted.
