The institute will conduct the entire process of admission for its flagship programme, MBA, independently, for the first time ever. This also includes a new MBA in Business Analytics (MBA-BA), which provides an exciting alternative for a dual degree.

Candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) from a recognized university.
- Valid CAT 2024 scores.
IIM Sambalpur Selection Criteria
- CAT 2024 Scores: Candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT 2024 performance.
- Shortlisting for Personal Interview:
- Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round based on their CAT 2024 scores, past academic performance, work experience, and diversity (gender and academic background).
